We provide five dedicated areas for each age group
|Ladybirds 0 – 12 Months
The Ladybirds main room and sensory room caters for our smallest treasures ranging from 0-12 months. These rooms are warm, welcoming and make the children feel at ease and happy to explore many different experiences.
We cater for up-to twelve children in these rooms. We also have a large separate cot room where your children can enjoy a peaceful rest.
Your children will be cared for by their designated key person allowing them to build a secure relationship together and ensure your child’s individual routine is followed.
|Caterpillars 12 Months – 2 Years
The Caterpillars room consists of three separate areas for the 12 months to 2yr olds where your child will have the opportunity to learn and play with their friends. The areas include a main play room, a role play area and a messy room.
All three areas are well planned and equipped for your child’s interests to ensure they develop and learn through their play opportunities.
Your child will always have a designated key person who is responsible for your child’s main care and development. This area can also cater for up to twelve children.
|Bees 2 – 3 Years
The Bees room is for our active 2 – 3 year olds! This room has a large main play area plus two side rooms for the children to access new play opportunities including messy play, a book area and role play to name but a few.
The room has its own bathroom where the children are encouraged to be independent as we support them with potty training, hand washing and good hygiene routines.
Your child’s designated key person will support their development and help prepare them to become strong independent individuals.
|Butterflies 3 – 4 Years
Our Butterflies room is for our 3 to 4 year olds. This room has a large main area, an exploration room and a literacy room. The children are supported and encouraged to make healthy choices and develop their own independence skills by self selection of toys and materials.
Free flow opportunities into the garden help your child develop self confidence, stretch their imagination and build their esteem to ensure they are well prepared for their new life at school.
Your child’s key worker will get to know their interests, abilities, likes and dislikes, to ensure when planning with the curriculum, their full learning potential is maximised.
|The Hive Out of School care 5 – 11 Years
The Hive out of school club caters for all school aged children. We offer a breakfast club, after school club and holiday clubs. The club have their own dedicated area within Bumblebees and work alongside the ‘Play/work Principles’.
All the children who attend The Hive have the opportunity to play extensive games and activities with their friends. Also they have access to the large garden to extend their play experiences further. If you require, we also have a homework station where your children can be supported with any homework set from school.
We have recently refurbished our large, secured outside garden that all the children throughout their day can explore and enjoy.
We’ve also developed a separate area that is our Sensory Garden. This is used mainly for the under 2’s to explore and provides a small haven of discovery.
