The Curriculum
At Bumblebees we adhere to the new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right, and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. When parents choose Bumblebees they want to know that the provision will keep their children safe and help them to thrive. The Early Years Foundation Stage is the framework that provides that assurance.
Our Food
All of our meals are cooked freshly on site using local produce. We have an experienced qualified cook to prepare a daily balanced and nutritious hot lunchtime meal for the children.
Your child can start their day with a fulfilling continental breakfast served between 7.30 and 8.30am. During mid morning and afternoon all children have the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables for their snack. These vary from day to day and often provide new taste experiences. High tea is served at 4.15pm where children regularly have the chance to make their own pizzas, bread, soup or sandwiches.
A copy of our menu is always displayed in the nursery. As the food is prepared freshly on site, we are extremely flexible and accommodating to your child’s individual dietary requirements which can be discussed during their induction.
